Coleman was a Lancashire resident born in Blackpool. She attended Arnold School Blackpool, where she was able to get straight As in the A-levels she took. If Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale character, she said that it is regrettable not to have had a traditional university experience. Coleman was in Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival with a company named In Yer Space, which she was a part of during her time at high school. The show also received favorable reviews. She was awarded for her outstanding performance. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman was offered the role as Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman received two awards in the year 2007. In the British Soap Awards she was named Best Newcomer, and at the National Television Awards she was nominated as the Most Popular Newcomer. The British Soap Awards 2009 nominated her in both the Best Actress - Sexiest Feminine and the category for Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman won a TV Choice Award nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat, the producer of Doctor Who confirmed in a 21st March press conference on the show that Coleman will play Matt Smith's partner after Karen Gillan left. Moffat chose her for the role because she is the most efficient when working with Smith and spoke more quickly than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She is active in the field since 1987. She has been part of various TV shows and films. However, she is better known for TV projects instead of films. Of the many roles Eva has appeared in, on TV shows, Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that make an impression. Her first TV role earned the show two Daytime Emmy nominations, and allowed her to develop her love for music. Eva as well as being an actress is also a philanthropist, businesswoman and entrepreneur. Her third husband is the father of her daughter.
