Sofia Pernas is a Moroccan actress born and brought up within Orange County. At the age of 5, she moved from Morocco to California. She earned her degree at the University of California, San Diego in the year 2015. This was the year in which she received her first big break as an actor. Pernas began her acting career by playing minor roles on NCIS as well as Leverage. The Young and the Restless offered Pernas the part of Marisa. Following her departure from the soap-opera in 2016 the actress scored a recurring role in Jane the Virgin as Catalina. The model, who is proficient in four languages has since appeared in The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also appeared Secret Society of Second Born Royals. Between 2019 and 2020, she played Lexi Vaziri in Blood & Treasure. Us Weekly revealed in May of 2020 that Pernas was in a relationship with Justin Hartley, her The Young and the Restless co-star. This romance began after Chrishell Stause and the This Is Us actress split in November 2018. Pernas Hartley recently wed at a private wedding as per reports in May 2020.
