Simone Biles
Simone Biles was an American gymnast who was born on March 14, 1997 in Ohio, Columbus. She is considered by many to be among the top gymnasts. The 2016 Olympics were held in Rio de Janeiro and Biles was one of the U.S.'s first female gymnast to earn 4 gold medals. Biles also took home the world title for all-around, three times in succession (2013-15). Biles lived within Spring Texas in the Houston metropolitan area after her and her sister Adria received adoption by parents Ronald and Nellie Biles. Simone was interested in the sport of gymnastics as a young girl in a day-care field excursion in Bannon's Gymnastix and she remained there for eleven years under supervision of coach Aimee Boorman. Biles won a gold medal for vault and also a medal in floor at the 2010 Women's Junior Olympic National Championships. The year 2011 saw her begin competing in elite levels of competition. She dominated her sport within a mere two years. The thing that set Biles out was her consistency her exuberant personality and the extreme level of effort she put into her routines in the four events she competed in: vault uneven bars balance beam and floor exercises.
